IIM Jammu collaborates with IE University, Spain for academic, research exchange

Professor B S Sahay, director, IIM Jammu and Maria-Eugenia Marin, vice-provost, global academic partnerships and alliances, IE University have signed the agreement.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has signed an agreement with IE University, Spain to reinforce the global footprint and advance excellence in teaching and research at IIM Jammu.
The agreement was signed by Professor B S Sahay, director, IIM Jammu and Maria-Eugenia Marin, vice-provost, global academic partnerships and alliances, IE University. The collaboration is marked as a positive step toward absorbing the best practices in research and teaching from the best B-Schools in the world.
IIM Jammu's official release stated that as per Professor B S Sahay, the collaboration is a vital part of IIM Jammu’s international endeavours and it will be helpful in fostering the advancement in teaching, research and cultural understanding as well as the international reputation of both the institutes through student and faculty exchange, executive education and research programmes.

Commenting on the agreement, María-Eugenia Marín reiterated that the collaboration between IE University and IIM Jammu is firmly grounded on a common vision of the role of higher education institutions in developing global leaders equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset, a holistic perspective of the world and an understanding of the importance of a life-long learning journey.
The partnership between the two organisations aims to foster advancement in teaching and cultural understanding, as well as the international reputations of both institutions through the exchange of postgraduate students faculty members and academic information and materials; the organization of joint corporate training programmes, joint research programs, joint conferences executive education programmes and other academic exchanges that both institutes agree to.
