IIM Kashipur holds 11th convocation ceremony; confers degrees to 438 graduates

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM Kashipur) conduted the 11th convocation ceremony today, April 27, 2024. A total of 438 degrees were awarded to the students who graduated this year under various programmes. Yazdi Nagporewalla, CEO of KPMG India, was the chief guest at the convocation ceremony.

During the ceremony, 232 graduating cohorts received Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, with 87 earning MBA Analytics degrees, 83 receiving EMBAA degrees, and 21 attaining executive MBA degrees. Additionally, 15 scholars from the doctoral programme were awarded their degrees.

The institute offers five regular courses including MBA, MBA-Analytics, executive MBA, executive MBA analytics, and a doctoral programme. There are as many as 17 short online certificate programmes and eight one-year executive, postgraduate certificate programmes.

Jump in female students

IIM Kashipur has witnessed exponential growth in terms of female students across all programmes. In the 2019-21 batch, IIM Kashipur recorded 11% female students, while in the 2021-23 batch, it surged to 30%.

The first batch of executive MBA analytics conferred with degrees. As many as 83 students of the first EMBAA cohort received their degrees; of them, 16 were female.

Medalists

During the convocation ceremony, exceptional academic performance was acknowledged. Five gold, four silver, and one bronze medal were conferred to students. Additionally, 17 students who made it to the "Director’s Merit List" were felicitated for their dedication to academic pursuits.
