IIM Rohtak Placement 2024: 200 companies offer jobs, Rs 19.27 lakh average package

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management concluded the IIM Rohtak placement 2024 for the 13th batch of its two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP). The IIM Rohtak average pay package was Rs 19.27 lakh per annum (LPA), 3% more than the last year’s Rs 18.73 LPA average take-home salary.

The IIM Rohtak said the top 10% of salary packages averaged Rs 37.25 LPA and the top 25% and 50% job offers had Rs 29.28 LPA and Rs 24.13 LPA average pay, respectively. More than 200 companies participated in the placement drive this year. The institute said over 70 new recruiters forged an alliance with IIT Rohtak during the placement drive 2023-24.

IIM Rohtak Placements: Participating companies

The new companies that participated in the placement drive include Airtel Payments Bank, Bloomberg, Decathlon, Dell, Havells, IDBI Bank and Maruti Suzuki. Companies such as Adobe, Aditya Birla, Tata Steel, Amazon, Barclays, Tata Steel, Capgemini, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, OfBusiness and Reliance Retail continued their collaboration with the institute. Many students were also offered pre-placement offers.

Most offers from sales and marketing firms

The institute said the companies in the sales and marketing recruited the highest number of students. These companies accounted for 30% of recruitment offers. Last year, 21% students had received offers from firms in the sales and marketing domain. The highest salary package was also offered in this domain.

The general management and human resource sector offered 27% of all the job opportunities, which is a growth of 4% in comparison to placement drive 2022-23. It was followed by product management, IT and operations domains that constituted about 20% of the received offers, up from 15% last year. A total of 15% students got offers from the companies in the BFSI and FinTech domains. Companies in the consulting domain offered 8% students with job offers.

IIM Rohtak director Dheeraj Sharma said, “This placement season experienced the participation of a sizeable number of faithful loyal recruiters and engagement of numerous new companies. The recruiting organisations spanned multiple domains and offered a wide range of profiles, attesting to the ability of our diversified pool of student talent to cater to industry needs.”

IIM Rohtak dean Koustab Ghosh added, “The programme fee of the institute is amongst the lowest within the IIM system in the country. Hence, IIM Rohtak is the B-school with the best return on investment.”

The institute is the first IIM to have a BBA-MBA integrated degree and BBA-LLB degree programmes. The institute received the Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation in 2022.
