IIT-BHU hosts international competition for student start-up funding
IIT-BHU: Students can register for participating in Hult Prize 2022 online by February 22

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), Varanasi, hosts the on-campus round of Hult Prize-2022, a student competition for start-up funding by Hult International Business School and the United Nations Foundation that aims to influence social change through education and entrepreneurship. The competition is scheduled till February 27.
Participants who win the Hult Prize-2022 competition at the global final round will receive a 1 million dollar prize from the Bill Clinton Foundation. Students who are interested in participating in the Hult Prize-2022 start-up competition can register online free and submit their summary by February 22 at oncampus.hultprize.org/bhu, said a statement from IIT-BHU.

“From the preliminary round, the 10 teams will be selected and they will showcase their start-up on February 27 in front of 3 distinguished judges. The most outstanding team amongst them will emerge as the BHU On-Campus winner and that team will go on to compete in one of the Hult Prize Regional Summits being held around the world. A winning team from each host city will then go on to the Summer Accelerator, where participants will receive mentorship, and strategic planning as they build the prototype and set-up to launch their new social business. The global final round of the competition will be held at the United Nations Headquarters, where the winning team will receive a $1 million prize from the Bill Clinton Foundation and an opportunity to meet eminent personalities from the United Nations and Silicon Valley,” said Anshul Sahai, campus director of the organizing committee, IIT-BHU.

The Hult Prize competition is presented by Hult International Business School and the United Nations Foundation which challenges university students across many countries to come up with ideas to solve a social issue.
