IIT Madras allows challenge of GATE 2019 answer key before February 22

NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 21: IIT Madras has opened the window to challenge the answer key of GATE 2019. Candidates who find any objection against the released answer key can raise the challenge till February 22, 2019. In order to raise the challenge against the answer key candidates will have to log in to the GOAPS portal.
Also, candidates can contest/challenge the answer key of any question after giving their justification and a payment of Rs. 500 (for each question) through the online mode.
How to Challenge GATE 2019 Answer Key
- Click on the given below link
- Select “Contest Answer Key" option displayed on the page.
- Select the section and question number
- Enter the justification for the contest, upload the supporting documents and submit it.
- Now page will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay Rs 500 online (per challenge).
- Once done, the challenge is submitted.
Key Points Related to Challenging Answer Key
Following key points to be remembered while challenging the GATE 2019 answer key:
- Candidates must give the explanation for each contest in the "Justification for Contest" box within 500 characters
- A module to contest answer keys will be available from February 20 to 22, 2019.
- For each objection candidates will have to pay Rs. 500. Contests will be considered only if the payment is completed successfully.
- Payment for a challenge that is accepted will be refunded.
- While challenging the answer keys, the candidates should ensure that the question number is as per the PDF file of the question paper uploaded on the official website.
- Candidates can also preview question selected in the contest portal.
- Candidates need to make sure that they select the right section and the question number which they wish to contest.
- If the question number is not correctly identified, then the challenge will not be considered.
- If candidates are uploading any supporting document for the contest, they must mention the section name and question number in the document.
- For all contests on answer keys, the decision of the authorities will be final and binding. No correspondence or telephone calls on this matter will be entertained.

IIT Madras will be releasing the GATE 2019 result on March 16 in online mode. Candidates could download the scorecard of GATE 2019 from March 20. The national level postgraduate engineering entrance exam was conducted on February 2, 3, 9 and 10.
