IIT Roorkee Placement 2022 begins. Highest domestic salary offered to a student on day one was Rs 1.30 crore. Ten students got more than Rs 80 lakh salary.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) commenced the placements for the academic year 2022-23 today, December 1. The IIT Roorkee placements 2022 recorded 365 job offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs) on day one.
Six international job offers were also made with the highest salary of Rs 1.06 crore to a student. The highest domestic salary offered to a student was Rs 1.30 crore. Ten students got more than Rs 80 lakh salary, the institute said.
“The Placement Exercise for 2022-23 has begun as per the schedule. We have tied up with all the booming companies in all sectors with sincere focus on rising core profiles as well. Apart from this, we ensured great diversification in the profiles which resulted in more offers extended to students in the companies specific to their interests. With all the above strategies, we were able to get the best international as well as domestic opportunities, IIT Roorkee said in a statement.

A total of 31 companies participated in the IIT Roorkee campus placements 2022 on the first day. The companies that took part in the placements were - AppDynamics, Bajaj Auto, BCG, Cairn Oil and Gas, Da Vinci Derivatives, Flipkart, Graviton, Hilabs, Infurnia, Intel Technologies, JP Morgan Quant, Maverick Derivatives, Microsoft, NHA, NK Securities, Nvidia, ONGC, Oracle, Plutus Research Pvt Ltd, Qualcomm, QuantBox, SAP Labs, Schlumberger, Sprinklr, Squarepoint, STMicroelectronics, Tata Steel, Texas Instrument , Trilogy, UBER.

Out of 1,269 students that registered for IIT Guwahati placements, 168 students have received offers on the first day of phase-1 placements. The institute records the highest package of Rs 2.4 crore.
