Download NowNew Delhi, October 7: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, will close the online process of filling up the JAM application form tomorrow, i.e. October 8 at 5.30 pm. Candidates who have not yet registered for JAM 2020 still have a day to apply for the same. They must make sure to register for the national-level online examination before the scheduled deadline to avoid any last-minute hassle.

IIT Kanpur had released the JAM application form on September 4, 2019, a day before the officially notified date. JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) is the portal to be used to fill the application form of JAM, download admit card and check the result too. It has been officially announced that IIT Kanpur will open the correction window after October 8.
Steps to fill the JAM application form
Step 1. Visit the official website of IIT JAM (jam.iitk.ac.in)
Step 2. Click on ‘Candidate Portal (JOAPS)
Step 3. Click on ‘New User? Register Here’
Step 4. Enter the login credentials and fill the JAM application form
Step 5. Enter all the personal, academic details and upload the requisite documents.
Step 6. Pay JAM 2020 examination fee
Step 7. Print confirmation page for future reference
It must be noted that the process of filling the JAM application form 2020 is wholly in online mode. IIT Kanpur will not accept any applications that will come via post/courier. Therefore, candidates must head to JOAPS for filling out the application forms.

About Joint Admission Test for M. Sc. (JAM)
Every year one of the twenty IITs conduct the JAM exam for candidates who wish to seek admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-UG Degrees Programmes at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at the IISc. A total of 2245 seats are offered in various participating institutes for various programmes. JAM, a national-level examination which is conducted in a computer-based mode (online), will be held on February 9, 2020.
