JD INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY COMMEMORATES WOMEN’S DAY WITH JOSH TALKS

NEW DELHI, MARCH 8: JD Institute of Fashion Technology hosted Josh Talks to drive sessions on ‘Know Your Rights’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day today. The session held at Social Hauz Khas in New Delhi was a part of the campaign #AbSamjhautaNahinin association with ITC Vivel, to enlighten students on their legal rights, collective consciousness on gender issues, women empowerment and issues of right to equality.
Addressing the students, famous fashion designer and the mentor of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Ms Rina Dhaka said, “I am happy to learn about consensual rights that we are entitled to, through this session by Josh Talks. It is very important for us as women to be aware of them and practice it for our own survival if there is any violation of our consent.”
On the occasion, Director, Ms Akshra Dalal, JD Institute of Fashion Technology said,“It is said when a woman stands for herself, she stands for all the other women. Today, through this talk session we have made an effort to initiate conversations around women rights, gender issues and consensual rights so that no woman has to suffer in pain and silence. We stand with you all. Happy Women’s Day.”
