New Delhi, February 21: As per the official notice on the official website of JEE Advanced 2019, top 2,24,000 candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of the JEE Main 2019 Rank for the examination. However, the total number of candidates may be slightly higher than 2,24,000 in the presence of ‘tied’ ranks/scores in each category.
Earlier on January 22, 2019, Supreme Court gave interim orders to remove the age barrier in order to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2019. According to the orders candidates who are 25 years of age or older are eligible to apply for both the exams, JEE Main and advanced.

This year, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee will be conducting JEE Advanced 2019 on May on May 19 in two shifts: Paper 1: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2: 2:00 to 5:00 pm. However, till now authorities have not yet disclosed other dates related to the examination. Authorities will likely to commences the applications process in the first week of May after the announcement of JEE Main 2019 final result.
