JEE Main 2019 application form starts; NTA reduces registration fees

NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 1:  National Testing Agency or NTA, the exam conducting body for JEE Main 2019 has released the application form in online mode for the entrance exam from September 1. Candidates willing to appear in the exam will have to register by filling JEE Main 2019 application form and submitting it on or before the last date i.e. September 30, 2018.

However, all candidates are advised to first check the complete eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019 as prescribed by NTA and if they fulfil it, then only proceed to fill the application form.

NTA has also started student registration for practice centres from September. Candidates will have to register by providing their personal, academic and contact details to be able to take up the practice test. The tests will be available till both JEE Main attempts are completed.

For candidates convenience, the authorities have set up 1.5 lakhs Common Service Centres (CSC) across the country to support them in online application form submission and payment through e-wallet in urban and rural areas. The list of CSCs is available on the website. Candidates will have to pay a minimal amount for services offered through CSCs.

Before filling JEE Main application form 2019, candidates must keep all these documents ready so that it can filled hassle-free and in one go.

 

 

Candidates are advised to check their internet connection before they start filling the application form to avoid disruption in the process.

How to fill JEE Main application form 2019?

Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill the application form of JEE Main 2019.

Step 1 – Authentication: To start with, candidates will have to register for JEE Main 2019. This can be done by filling the details required and submitting them.

Step 2 - Filling of Details in Online Application Form: Candidates will have to fill their exam related, personal and contact details in the JEE Main application form and note down system generated application number. Candidates will also have to create a password which will be used for future logins.

Step 3 – Uploading of Documents: Candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature in the specifications prescribed (as mentioned in the table above).

Step 4 – Application Fees Payment: Payment of application fee is an important step as form will be considered as incomplete without it. Candidates can make the payment of requisite application fees in any mode according to their convenience - Online or Offline.

For online payment, candidates can use SBI MOPS (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking)

For offline payment, E- Challan can be downloaded and then submitted.

Step 5 – Printout of Confirmation Page: Candidates will be required to take 4 print outs of the confirmation page, after successful payment. Candidates must keep this acknowledgement page safely for future.

JEE Main 2019 Application Fee (For Examination Centres in India)

JEE Main 2019 for January attempt will be conducted from January 6 to 20 in computer based mode.
