NEW DELHI: JEE Main admit card 2020 release date and time is August 15 (time not yet announced). The NTA official notification has mentioned that the JEE Main 2020 admit card will be released at jeemain.nta.nic.in 15 days prior to the JEE Main exam date. September 1 to 6 are the official JEE Main 2020 exam dates.

Many students are reportedly searching for the jeemain.nic.in admit card 2020 download along with the steps to download the same. NTA allows candidates to download the admit card using the JEE Main login where they have two methods to download it as follows

Method 1 of downloading JEE Main admit card:

  • Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on download JEE Main admit card link
  • Enter the JEE Main 2020 application number and date of birth
  • Download the JEE Main admit card 2020

Method 2 of downloading JEE Main 2020 admit card:

  • Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the link given to download JEE Main admit card 2020
  • Enter the date of birth and JEE Main application number
  • Download the JEE Main 2020 admit card

To retrieve JEE Main 2020 application number or password, candidates may use the, ”I can't access my account option”. Details mentioned in JEE Main admit card will include candidate’s name, gender, category etc. JEE Main exam date and time as well as the venue will also be mentioned. After downloading the JEE Main 2020 admit card, candidates must check for the accuracy of the details printed. any discrepancy must be brought to the notice of the NTA authorities.

Documents to carry with JEE Main admit card

  • A passport size photograph - this must be the same as uploaded with the application form
  • A valid photo ID like the Aadhaar Card, passport, driving license, voter ID etc.
  • PwD candidates must carry the certificate for the same.

JEE Main 2020 exam day precautions amid COVID-19
This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, NTA is expected to issue certain safety guidelines while releasing the JEE Main 2020 admit card. NTA has reportedly increased the number of test centres to accommodate social distancing and resuce the number of student per room keeping the prerequisite distance prescribed by the Health Ministry. Some precuations and measures issued by NTA will be in the line of

  • Candidates should also the JEE Main admit card and other document. They must also carry masks, gloves and a hand sanitiser to the exam centre.

  • The reporting timing will also be mentioned in the JEE Main admit card and candidates must adhere to that

  • There will be thermal screening and sanitizing at the centres so that candidates are at a minimal risk.

  • Groups and gatherings near exam centres will be discouraged and students are advised to take note of that.

  • There will be barricades at every exam centre so that the gates are free for a single entry with distancing.

  • There is no clear guidelines given for students who are COVID positive. However, it is expected that such students will have to give their exam from an isolated room.

  • Students should keep their safety in mind and not mingle as in normal times. They should wear mask all the time they are writing the JEE Main exam.

  • Food and water guidelines are yet to be announced by NTA as some students appear for the test at centrtes which are slightly far off from their residence.
