New Delhi, January 7: The forenoon shift of JEE Main 2020 Paper-1 for January 7 has been concluded. The computer-based exam for admission in B.E/B.Tech courses started at 9:30 am and concluded at 12.30 pm. The reporting time for the examination was 7.30 am which is 2 hours before the start of the examination. No late comers were allowed to enter the centre and the gates were closed at 9.15 am. The exam consisted of three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The exam is being conducted in 567 centres in 231 cities across India and 9 foreign cities. Many students were reported to have faced some technical glitches while giving the examination. Their systems were not working properly and were getting shut down on their own.

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 (January 7) - Forenoon Shift analysis

Talking about the difficulty level of JEE Main 2020 Paper 1, many students found it to be difficult, whereas many found that the exam was of moderate difficulty level.

Deepika says that the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. However, she found Mathematics to be a bit difficult as compared to the other two sections. She found Chemistry to be very easy.

Hardik from CBSE Board also found Mathematics to be the toughest section. Each section had 25 questions.

According to Hitar, Physics was a bit difficult. However, Mathematics and Chemistry were of moderate difficulty level. As there was no negative marking for numeral value questions, he was able to attempt all 15 questions.

The afternoon session of the JEE Main 2020 Paper-1 will start at 2:30 pm and will conclude at 5.30 pm. The reporting time for the session is 12.30 pm. Many students have already started arriving at the examination centre. JEE Main 2020 for January session is being conducted from January 6 to 9. JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 has been successfully concluded on January 6.
