New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the JEE Main Paper 1 exam on January 7. The exam was conducted in 567 test centres spread across 231 test cities of India and 9 test centres abroad. A total of 9,21,261 were registered for Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech exam. JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 was conducted in online mode as computer based test in forenoon session from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM and afternoon session from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. As per the initial reaction of students who appeared for the exam, the exam was moderate in difficulty and questions were mostly based on NCERT books.

Students who appeared in JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 January 7 forenoon session says most of the questions were theory based. Paper was moderate in difficulty level with questions from all three subjects being easy and within the syllabus. In Chemistry, questions from Organic Chemistry was easy and numerical part of Physical Chemistry was moderate. Some students also reported that Chemistry was difficult in comparison to last year.

Students from JEE Main Paper 1 January 7 afternoon session says the overall paper was moderate and Chemistry was the easiest part with most question from organic and some numericals from physical. Most students find Mathematics difficult and Chemistry easy and questions in Physics were tricky. Questions were distributed from the entire syllabus of class 11 and 12.

JEE Main 2020 January exam is being conducted by NTA from January 6 to 9. On January 6, JEE Main Paper 2 was conducted for B.Arch at 345 test centres and for B.Plan at 327 test centres. Some online learning institutes like Learn@Careers360 has also released the unofficial question papers and answer key of JEE Main Paper 2 held on January 6. As per the student’s reaction who appeared in Paper 2, the Mathematics questions were easier in comparison to Aptitude and Drawing section and most of the Mathematics questions were from class 11 syllabus.

NTA will release the official question paper and answer key of JEE Main for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the second week of January and the result will be released by January 31.
