New Delhi, January 6: National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 January session exam on January 6. It has been conducted in two sessions - forenoon and afternoon. The forenoon session was held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM while the afternoon session was held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. However, candidates who have opted for B.Planning exam are given an extra 30 minutes and their exam was concluded at 6:00 PM. As per the instructions, candidates started arriving at the examination centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam to avoid any last-minute problems.

JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 was for B.Arch and B.Plan aspirants. For B.Arch aspirants, the Mathematics and Aptitude part was conducted in online mode, whereas the drawing part in paper-pencil mode.

Forenoon Session (Student’s Reaction)

As per students who appeared for JEE Main Paper 2 in the morning session, the overall difficulty level of the exam was average. Many students find Mathematics session to be tough, whereas many thought it to be of average difficulty level.

According to Ritik Yadav who attempted B.Arch exam, the general aptitude section was tough and the mathematics was moderate in difficulty. He is expecting to qualify the examination.

Aditya who attempted B.Arch exam found Mathematics to be particularly hard. The majority of questions were from class 11th syllabus and included topics such as Binomial, Permutation and Combination.

Abiral says that Mathematics section was tricky but not tough. General Aptitude section has questions on mental ability along with theoretical questions.

Afternoon Session (Student’s Reaction)

Samiksha from CBSE Board appeared for B.Planning and according to her, the exam was of moderate difficulty level. The aptitude section had questions containing designs and pictures using which candidates have to explain how the image looks like from the top view, side view, and mirror images.

Manya appeared for both B.Arch and B.Plan exams. According to her Mathematics was quite tough but General Aptitude section was easy. The question paper had tricky questions. Overall, it was an exam of moderate difficulty level.

Rishi from CBSE Board appeared for both exams. He found drawing section to be on a tougher side as compared to Mathematics. According to him, Mathematics was easy. He was able to solve three numerical value questions. On the other hand, General Aptitude was a bit tough.

About JEE Main 2020

JEE Main or Joint Entrance Exam is an exam that is conducted for admission to the undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes offered by 31 National Institutes of Technology, 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology and 28 Government Funded Technical Institutes. JEE Main is also a Qualifying test for JEE Advanced for IIT admissions. The result of JEE Main 2020 will be declared on January 31.
