JEECUP 2019 application correction for EWS and other candidates available now

NEW DELHI, APRIL 1: The conducting authority for JEECUP 2019 announced 10% reservation for candidates from the economically weaker section. Candidates can correct their application form for EWS and other category based reservations till April 4. The application correction window is available online. The proforma for the reservation is made available online on the official website of JEECUP. The authorities have declared some eligibility conditions for claiming the reservations and candidates need to fulfill the criteria for claiming reservation against the same.

Eligibility conditions for 10% reservation for economically backward section candidates

As per the official notification released on the JEECUP website, candidates whose family annual income is less than  Rupees 8 lakhs and does not have assets given below:

• 5 acre or more of agricultural land

• Flat of 1000 sq. ft. or more

• Residential land of 100 square yards or more in notified municipalities

• Residential land of 100 square yards or more in areas other than the notified municipalities

Apart from the above eligibility conditions, the candidate must also be not covered under any existing schemes of reservations for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Classes.

JEECUP will be conducted on May 26, for admission in Polytechnic courses in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The last date for application was March 31 and candidate can update their corrected application forms till April 4.
