JEECUP 2024: UP Polytechnic registration ends today; admit card on March 10

NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) is going to close the online registration for the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination 2024 (UPJEE 2024) today, March 4. Candidates who want to get admission to polytechnic institutes in Uttar Pradesh should appear in this exam.

The JEECUP 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from March 16 to 22. Candidates should fill out the JEECUP 2024 application form by visiting the official website, jeecup.admissions.nic.in.

Earlier, the last date to fill out the JEECUP 2024 application form was February 29 which was later extended by four days. The link to download the JEECUP 2024 admit card will be accessible to registered candidates from March 10.

The JEECUP 2024 examination is conducted for admission to groups A, E, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, L, and K1-K8 courses. As per the announced schedule, the UP-Polytechnic entrance exam results will be declared on April 8.

Candidates have the option to apply for any four of the groups, namely group A, group B, group E1, group E2, and group L to K. The registration fee for candidates falling under the general and other backward classes (OBC) categories is Rs 300. Scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST) applicants are required to pay Rs 200 for the application process.

JEECUP 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for the JEECUP 2024 exam before applying for it.

Age limit: Candidates should have a minimum age of 14 years old as of July 1, 2024. No upper age limit criteria are applicable for reserved category candidates.

Education qualification:

Candidates applying for engineering and technology diploma should have passed Class 10 with at least 35% marks. Additionally, the candidate should have scored 50% marks in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

Candidates applying for agriculture engineering courses should have passed Class 12 with agriculture as one of the subjects. Candidate should also have scored al least 50% marks in mathematics, physics, chemistry and agriculture.

JEECUP 2024: Exam Pattern

The JEECUP 2024 exam will be conducted in an online mode. The candidates will get 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the exam. The question format carries 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and the medium of examination will be in both English and Hindi. In terms of the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
