Jharkhand NMMS exam 2023 revised date announced; admit card on February 4

NEW DELHI: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has postponed the National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2023 exam date. The Jharkhand NMMS which was scheduled on December 17 will now be conducted on February 11. Students studying in Class 8 are eligible for the NMMS Jharkhand NMMS exam 2023-24.

The Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card will be issued on February 4, 2024. Candidates will be able to download the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card from the official website - jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Candidates will require their login credentials generated during registration such as application number and password to access the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card.

The Jharkhand NMMS scholarship scheme aims to provide financial assistance of Rs 12,000 for selected students in Class 9 to 12. Students pursuing their studies in private schools and students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sainik schools are not eligible to apply for the Jharkhand NMMS scholarship.

Jharkhand NMMS 2023: Exam pattern

The NMMS 2023-24 test will be divided into two sections: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Abilities (SAT).

MAT will consists of 90 multiple-choice questions that assess verbal and nonverbal metacognitive abilities such as reasoning and critical thinking. The test may include questions about analogies, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures, and so on.

The SAT comprises of 90 multiple-choice questions that includes Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics, that are taught in Classes 7 and 8.

Jharkhand NMMS 2023: Passing marks

Students must pass both examinations, the MAT and the SAT, with at least 40% in aggregate to pass the Jharkhand NMMS 2023. Students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories require a minimum of 32% in aggregate to qualify the scholarship exam.
