JIPMER MBBS Application Form 2019 to be released on March 6; Check details to apply

NEW DELHI, March 5:  Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry will be releasing the application form for MBBS program on March 6, 2019. The application form will be made available on the official website of JIPMER along with the official prospectus. The last date for filling the application form is April 12, 2019. An incomplete or incorrectly filled application form will result in cancellation of candidature by the examination authorities, therefore, the candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria and the steps to fill the form for the medical entrance exam.

Who is Eligible to apply?

• A Candidate has to be an Indian National/Non- Resident of India/Overseas Citizen of India.

• Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2019.

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent level examination with Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, and English as core subjects.

• Candidates are required to score passing marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, and English individually.

• Candidates belonging to unreserved category must score 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, and English in aggregate.

• Reserved category candidates should score an aggregate of 50% to be considered eligible.

Steps to register for JIPMER MBBS 2019

Step 1 - Registration

Click on the link which will be made available as and when the JIPMER application form 2019 is released. Enter the name, date of birth, valid email ID and an active mobile number to generate login credentials.

Step 2- Filling Application form

After registration, use the login credential thus generated to log in. Thereafter, click on the ‘Edit’ button on the top right corner of the screen, to fill or edit the form. Enter personal details like name, father’s and mother’s name, birth date, category, nationality, ID proof number, educational details and other such crucial details.

Step 3 - Payment of Fee

After entering the details in the application form, candidates need to fill the application fee via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Candidates belonging to unreserved categories need to pay Rs 1500/- and the fee for reserved category candidates is Rs 1200/-. PwD candidates have been exempted from paying the application fee.

Step 4- Print Application form

It is advisable that the candidates take a print out of the duly filled application form, as it will need to be produced before the counselling committee at the time of admission.  

About JIPMER 2019

Applications are being invited for admission to 150 seats at the JIPMER, Puducherry campus and 50 seats at the JIPMER, Karaikal campus. Candidates who will submit the application form successfully will be issued the admit card for the exam in the third week of May 2019. The entrance examination will be conducted on June 2, 2019.
