J&K PG medical/MDS 2019 choice filling has commenced; fill choices by March 21

New Delhi, March 15: The first round of J&K PG medical/MDS 2019 counselling has kicked off on March 15. The counselling process is open to candidates whose names are listed in the updated provisional state merit list, which was published on March 12. As part of the counselling process, merit list candidates have to participate in choice filling process, which is open from March 15 till March 21 ( up to 12 am). The candidate will also have to deposit a fee of Rs. 2000 as counselling fee; once fee is paid the preference form will get locked and no changes to entered choices will be allowed thereafter.   

All candidates who are desirous of admission to PG medical and MDS courses have to participate in the choice filling process, or else they will not be considered for admission.

How to fill choices in preference form

  • Click on the above link to access the preference form

  • A login panel will open. Login using username, password, and verification code displayed on the screen.

  • On successful login, the preference form will appear on screen

  • Choices should be entered in the order of preference. Note that if no choices are entered, the candidate won’t be able to participate further.

  • After choices have been entered, the candidate needs to confirm them before proceeding to fee payment. It is because, once fee is paid, entered choices can’t be edited any longer.

  • In the penultimate step, pay the counselling fee of Rs. 2000 online.

  • Finally take a printout of the preference form to  to complete the choice filling process.

What next?

Based on the choices entered by the candidate and his or her merit rank, allotment of seats will be made in online mode. Candidates who are allotted seats will have to take printout of seat allotment letter and report at allotted college, along with originals and photocopies of all relevant documents.
