NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir Students Association launched a special helpline numbers for students of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh to address their grievances. The country wide special helpline numbers will be useful to the students facing difficulties related to colleges in any part of the country.
The student association launched five special helpline numbers today which will be accessible to students of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh regions. The special helpline numbers will be available 24 hrs. for the welfare of the students.

Nashir Khuehami, spokesperson of the Association said, “This initiative is another major step by the association for the welfare of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh students. “Students from the region can call on the numbers and register their complaint, and the association will assist the students in finding a solution with the respective state government or university authorities,” added Nashir.
The association had launched a toll free number for the students of the region in June and around 100 volunteers are assisting the students facing difficulties in the admission process through email and social media handles, informed a press release.

These helpline numbers will be manned and regulated by dedicated counsellors & grievance redressal attendants. This initiative of the association will emerge as a solution provider and will be assistance in case of any harassment or insecurity issues.
Umar Jamal, coordinator of the association said, “ the number has been launched to cater to the well being of the student community from Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, in tense times.” The student association expressed their gratitude to Jio India Network for setting up the special helpline numbers.
