JKCET 2020 cancelled; provisional merit list released

NEW DELHI: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has cancelled the JKCET 2020 exam due to COVID-19. The information of the cancellation of JKCET 2020 has been given by an official notification by JKBOPEE. As per the notice, the admissions will be based on the JKCET merit list 2020 which has been prepared by considering the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in the qualifying examination (Class 12th).
The authorities have also released the provisional JKCET merit list 2020 on the official website- jkbopee.gov.in. Candidates who have any objections to the provisional JKCET 2020 merit list can submit the same personally at the Board office Jammu/Srinagar during working days till September 18 up to 4.00 P.M. Objections to the JKCET merit list will not be accepted through email.
This provisional merit list of JKCET 2020 has been prepared on the basis of scores submitted by the candidates personally or through email till August 31. In case of same marks of two or more candidates in Class 12th, the authorities will prepare an inter se merit.

The following rule has been followed to determine the ranks of candidates for JKCET merit list in case of a tie-

Marks obtained in Mathematics component of the 12th class; followed by

Marks obtained in Physics component of the 12th class; followed by
-
Marks obtained in Chemistry component of the 12th class; followed by
-
At last, candidates older in age.
Candidates who have not submitted their relevant category certificates/deficient documents at the Board offices Jammu/Srinagar yet must submit them in-person till September 18 (4.00 PM). The final schedule of JKCET counselling 2020 will be notified separately.
