The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will commence the JoSAA 2025 counselling registration and choice filling process tomorrow, June 3. Engineering aspirants who have qualified the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) and Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) can register for the JoSAA counselling process through the official website, josaa.nic.in.
JoSAA counselling 2025 will be held in five rounds, along with an additional round exclusively for IITs and the NIT+ system. The process involves online registration, choice filling and locking, mock seat allotments, announcement of seat allotment results, payment of seat acceptance fees, candidate reporting at designated centres, and final admission confirmation by the allotted institute.
During the JoSAA 2025 choice filling process, eligible candidates can list their preferred courses and institutes. To help candidates make informed decisions, JoSAA will release two mock seat allocations based on the choices submitted by June 9 and June 11.
As per the JoSAA 2025 counselling schedule, round 1 seat allocation result will be announced on June 14, followed by online reporting, including fee payment, document upload and query responses. Candidates can respond to queries until June 20, with the last date for fee payment being June 18. The round 2 seat allocation result will be declared on June 21.
Candidates allotted a seat through JoSAA 2025 are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 15,000 if they belong to SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD categories. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs 30,000.
As per the official brochure, the seat acceptance fee also includes Rs 5,000 as a non-refundable JoSAA processing fee. The remaining portion of the fee will be adjusted against the admission fee at the allotted institute.
