Jharkhand Public Service Commission has postponed the preliminary exam of JPSC 2021 due to COVID-19.
NEW DELHI: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission has postponed the JPSC 2021 prelims exam due to the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. The commission has taken this decision of JPSC 2021 postponement due to the second wave of coronavirus which is spreading rapidly in the state. The JPSC 2021 prelims exam was scheduled to be conducted on May 2, which is now postponed till further notice by officials. The new exam date of JPSC 2021 will be announced soon on the official website - jpsc.gov.in.
Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) postponed the JPSC 2021 prelims exam considering the health and preventive measures of students and exam officials. This year, JPSC had released the 252 vacancies on which 5.5 lakh candidates were supposed to appear for the exam.

JPSC Exam Pattern 2021 and other details
JPSC exam is conducted by Jharkhand Public Service Commission to recruit the Deputy Collector, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, District Coordinator, Jail Superintendent, and others. The JPSC prelims exam consists of objective-type questions. The total duration of the preliminary exam is two hours and will consist of 100 questions in each paper. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded with two marks, there is no negative marking in the preliminary exam. The preliminary examination is just a screening test. The JPSC Civil Services prelims exam consists of two papers.
Topics Covered under Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JPSC
Paper-I covers subjects such as India's history and geography, Indian polity and governance, economic and sustainable development, science and technology, national and international current affairs, and so on. The questions include the history of Jharkhand, society, culture, and society, as well as human rights, environmental security, climate change, poverty, and unemployment. The JPSC Paper-II includes topics from Jharkhand's history, the Jharkhand Andolan, literature, culture, dance, music, sports, and other state-related topics.
