Karnataka PUC result 2019 declared, 80 colleges record 100% pass - check details here
NEW DELHI, APRIL 15: Department of Pre-University Examinations has declared the result of the Karnataka 2nd PUC on April 15, 2019. The result has been released in the press conference by PU education director C Shikha at DPUE Office, Bengaluru. This year, the result has been declared earlier compared to last year. Last year result was declared on April 30, 2018.

Approx 6 lakh candidates appeared for the examination.
Last year, the overall pass percentage was 59.56% but this year it has increased to 67.73.
This year 82124 number of candidates secured 60% and above and 54823 number of candidates secured distinction.
Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 68.2.
Candidates of Udupi district have topped the exam followed by Dakshin Kannada in the second and Kodagu in the third position.
In arts stream, Swati from PU College, Kotturu (Review District), Bellaryis the topper with 595 marks.
In science, Muthoot from VVS Sardar Patel PU College, Basaveshwara Nagar, Bangalore with 597 marks has topped.
In the commerce stream, Varsini from Vidya PU College, Malleswaram, Bangalore with 596 marks has topped the exam.
Pass percentage of rural students is 62.88% while that of urban candidates is 61.38% which means students from rural area performed better than students from urban areas.
80 colleges have recorded a pass percentage of 100%. Of this, 15 are government colleges.
