Karnataka government, CTE sign agreement to provide technical skills to students

Consortium for Technical Education and KDSC will provide students with training in technical skills and encourage entrepreneurship.

NEW DELHI: The Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) signs an agreement with Karnataka Skill development Corporation (KSDC) to develop skilled students with training programmes on technical advancements and promote entrepreneurship.

The CTE will be providing training courses through the Karnataka skill connect portal at institutions and learning centers for students in the state. All enrolled candidates that complete the courses will receive a certification jointly issued by KSDC and CTE.

The consortium will also be presenting seminars and workshops hosted by technical experts and researchers from both academia and industry on diverse topics related to information technology. The CTE will be conducting entrepreneurship awareness camps and development workshops with the aim to improve success rate of startups in India.

The training will also include cyber security for candidates will provide access to CTE's library of video-based training courses on emerging technologies in the field of cyber security, data science, cloud computing, virtualization and virtual labs to get hand-on practical experiences. It will also provide employment assistance to students by arranging campus Interviews at the designated KSDC learning centers.

Speaking about the initiative, Consortium for Technical Education, director, KA Alagarsamy, said: “In our efforts to impart technical knowledge to the students across the country, we are constantly expanding our association with government agencies. The signing of MoU with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) presents CTE with an opportunity to empower students with the in-demand technical skills enabling them to acquire jobs; and provide expert guidance to the upcoming young entrepreneurs in the state of Karnataka to help them grow their business successfully.”
