Try NowNEW DELHI : The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) informed that Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 application form will not be available from today, January 13 till January 17, 2024. Candidates who are interested in applying for the exam will be able to register from January 18 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
Explaining the reason for the unavailability, KEA said that the SATS services will not be available till January 16 and the data of students is being validated through SATS, therefore, the KCET 2024 registration will be on hold during this time.
“The department of school education informed that SATS database is being migrated to the newly allotted database; hence the SATS services will not be available for four days from January 13 to 16, 2024,” KEA said in an official notice.
“Since CET-2024 application validates students data through SATS number, CET 2024 application will not be available for students from January 13 to January 17, 2024,” it added.
After receiving requests from aspirants, the exam authority had announced that there will be no physical verification this year and the registration process will include an application-cum-verification module. KEA had informed that the student details regarding school study, Kannada medium, caste, income etc will be verified through SATS or the revenue department web service.
KEA commenced the registration process on January 10. As per the KCET 2024 schedule, the last date to apply is February 10, 2024. KCET exam 2024 will be conducted on April 18, 19. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for April 20 and 21 however, the dates were revised due to clash with NDA exams which are scheduled for April 21.
