KEAM 2020 to be conducted as scheduled; special test centres for containment zones

NEW DELHI: Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed that Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2020 entrance examination will be conducted as scheduled. The entrance examination is to be held on July 16 at various centres for admissions into the participating institutes of the state. Due to COVID-19, there were many speculations arising regarding the possible postponement of the examination, however Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that there will be no change of date and KEAM will be held as previously scheduled.
During the press conference, it was also notified that special test centres will be opened in hotspots/containment zones. This will help the students in these zones to attempt the entrance examination without leaving their area. Special arrangements will also be done for students who are coming from red zones or who are currently in quarantine.
KEAM 2020 in COVID-19
KEAM 2020, had been previously rescheduled due to the pandemic and the admit card was recently released by the authorities for the registered candidates. Since the exam is being conducted during COVID-19 times, the students are expected to follow all of the guidelines listed out by the KEAM authorities. This will ensure the safety of the students and of everyone who will be present at the examination centre. Proper hygiene has to be maintained and social distancing is to be maintained. KEAM 2020 is being conducted in 18 exam centres spread over specified districts of Kerala and in Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai.
