NEW DELHI: Kerala National Means-cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) exam registration last date extended to November 8. Class 8 students applying for the Kerala NMMS scholarship exam for the academic year 2023-24 will be able to register on the official website, nmmse.kerala.gov.in, till 5 PM on November 8.

As per the revised schedule, the last date for verification of the application submitted by the school head is November 10 by 5 PM. The Kerala NMMS scholarship exam 2023 will be conducted on December 7.

The question paper will be available in English, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada languages. Students will have to opt the preferred language while filling the online application.

NMMS Application 2023: Documents required

Students will have to upload the following documents during the Kerala NMMS registration process.

  • Income certificate not exceeding Rs 3.5 lakh obtained from the village office. The certificate should be uploaded in PDF format with file size less than 100 kb.
  • Caste certificate should be uploaded by SC, ST category students.
  • PwD certificates approved by the Medical Board should be uploaded by students with not less than 40% disabilities.
  • Passport size photograph taken within six months. The photo should be uploaded in jpg/jpeg format with 150 × 200 pixel, 20 kb to 30 kb size.

NMMS syllabus, exam pattern

The Kerala NMMS exam 2023 will be conducted in 2 parts of 90 minutes each. PwD students will be given extra time to attempt the questions. Part I will be Mental Ability Test (MAT) and part 2 will be Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

MAT - This section will have 90 multiple-choice questions that test mental ability. The questions will cover various areas like finding similarity, categorization, number sequences, pattern recognition and finding hidden shapes.

SAT - The section will have questions from social science and basic science carrying 35 marks each and basic mathematics carrying 20 marks. The questions will be asked from Class 7 and 8 syllabus.
