KVPY 2018 held on Nov 4 for SA, SX and SB streams

NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 4: The aptitude test for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) has been conducted in the computer-based mode (CBT) for SA/SX/SB streams on November 4. The paper for the SA stream was held for a duration of two hours starting at 9:30 am and concluded at 12:30 pm. While the paper for the SB/SX stream was held from 2 pm till 5 pm.

Students who qualify in the KVPY aptitude test will be called for the interview round, which is expected to be conducted around the second week of January 2019. The final merit list will be prepared considering 75% marks from the aptitude test and 25% marks from the interview section. Candidates will be awarded scholarship only if they pursue a course in basic sciences at UG/PG or higher level.

KVPY fellowship start only after a child enrols themselves into a bachelor or masters program like B.Sc., B.Stat, M.Sc., M.Stat or an integrated program. They will receive a monthly grant of Rs. 5000 per month for the first, second and third year of their study which is increased to Rs. 7000 per month in the fourth and fifth month. The paper for SA and SX streams is given by students enrolled in class 11 and 12 respectively. SB stream paper is given by students who are in the first year of their graduation degree.
