KVS Recruitment: The 175 selected candidates for the post of primary teacher have been asked to report for document verification on April 10 and 11 at KV, New Mehrauli Road, New Delhi.

NEW DELHI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) on Friday has decided to call the 175 candidates possessing 18 months NIOS diploma for document verification on April 10 and 11. The KV Sangathan will conduct the document verification for the post of Primary Teacher in KVS.
In December 2022, a total of 6,414 vacancies were notified under the direct recruitment for primary teachers in KV schools. On November 28, 2023, the Supreme Court, however, held that candidates having qualification of 18 months D.El.Ed from NIOS are not eligible for the post of primary teacher. Following this, the KVS put the recruitment for 175 candidates on hold.
Later, on December 10, 2024, the Supreme Court clarified that “18 months diploma obtained by such persons who were in employment as on 10.08.2017 would be treated as valid diploma holders for the purpose of applying in other institutions or for promotional avenues”.

A month later, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) issued a circular instructing officials to comply with the top court order. In compliance with the SC, NCTE, and the ministry of education’s directions, the KVS has today asked the 175 candidates to report for the document verification at 8.30 am at Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Mehrauli Road, Old JNU Campus, New Delhi-110061.
Candidates have been asked to carry the service certificate of working as primary teacher with period and name of school and an affidavit on stamp paper worth Rs 1,001 duly signed by the candidate and authenticated by first class Magistrate in the format given on the official website, kvsangathan.nic.in.
