Lucknow University to start physical classes for BCA Sem 1 students from October 25
University of Lucknow said that 75% attendance will be compulsory to appear in mid-term and end-term exams.
NEW DELHI: The University of Lucknow has announced resumption of physical classes for the first semester students of BCA from October 25.
According to an official statement from the university, 75 percent attendance will be mandatory for taking the mid-term and end-term semester exams.
“It is notified to all BCA First Semester students that their physical classes for the session 2021-22 will start from October 25,” a statement from Lucknow University said.
“75 percent attendance is compulsory for appearing in mid-semester tests as well as end semester examinations,” the statement added.
Recently, the Maharashtra government also decided to reopen colleges from October 20.
Colleges and universities across Maharashtra resumed in-person or `offline' classes which had been stopped for over one-and-a-half years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In Pune and Mumbai, the attendance was thin on campuses on day one, as per a PTI report.
As per the state government's instructions, only fully vaccinated students are being allowed to attend classroom sessions.
For those who cannot attend physical classes, the online lectures facility will continue. Last week, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant had announced that all the colleges and universities in the state can conduct physical classes from October 20. Schools across the state resumed physical classes for students of Std 5 to 12 from October 4.
As the number of COVID-19 cases decline across the country, states have begun reopening schools and colleges in hybrid mode with 50% attendance for vaccinated students and staff.
