MAH MBA CET 2025 will be held on April 1, 2, and 3 while MAH MCA CET 2025 has been already conducted on March 23.

“CET CELL will be conducting examinations on multiple shifts for MBA and MCA CET’s. The candidates will be given different sets of questions in every shift, and it is quite possible that despite all efforts to maintain equivalence among various question papers, the difficulty level of these question papers administered in different shifts may not be exactly the same. In order to overcome such a situation, a normalisation method will be used for ensuring that candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the examination,” said CET cell in an official notice.
The CET cell clarified that the process includes comparison of candidates’ scores across multi-shift papers and the one being used is similar to those adopted in the largest entrance tests conducted in India.
Under the MAH MBA, MCA CET 2025 normalisation method, the raw scores of candidates, obtained in the exams, will be converted into percentile scores.
Here’s the detailed MH CET 2025 normalisation process:
The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in the exam. Therefore, the topper (highest scorer) of each session will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles.
The MAH CET 2025 percentile scores will be calculated up to 7 decimal places to avoid bunching effects and reduce ties.
The CET cell also made it clear that the percentile of the total will not be an aggregate or average of the percentile of individual subjects. Percentile score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.

The step-by-step procedure for normalisation and preparation of percentile score:
Step 1: Distribution of examinees in two days and in two shifts per day. Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates.
These four sessions would be as follows:
Step 2: The results for each session would be prepared in the form of raw scores:
Step 3: The percentile scores for the total raw score for all the four sessions would be merged and will be called the CET scores which will then be used for compilation of result.
