NEW DELHI: Students of Maharani Cluster University, located in Bengaluru, held a protest today demanding solutions for various issues regarding exams, results, basic campus facilities, and classes. The All India Democratic Students’ Association (AIDSO) came in support of the protesting students.

In a statement, the student organization explained the problems faced by students including delay in publishing of semester exam results and errors in the results already declared by the university. Pointing out the issues in campus facilities, it alleged that the toilets are not in a good condition and lack hygiene.

“Massive students protest today demanding to solve many basic problems in Maharani Cluster University. The examination results are not published on time, also there are many errors in the results of many students. Toilets are in very poor condition. Lack of cleanliness and hygiene,” said AIDSO district secretary.

The students’ body went on to complaint that classes are not being run for the new open elective subjects which were introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the university. Moreover, guest lecturers have initiated a fight against the administration resulting in classes not being held at all for the last three weeks.

“Maharani College, just now, is full of problems. The students staged a protest demanding immediate solution for all the issues. AIDSO student organization expressed complete support for the movement,” AIDSO added.
