The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has announced the selection list for Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 counselling for stray vacancy round. A total of 21,346 candidates registered for the MBBS, BDS seats through the stray vacancy round . Of them, 1,061 students were allotted seats in the final round.
However, the cell has notified that the admission through this round will be completed after the decision of the Bombay High Court .

Maharashtra NEET UG 2025: Candidates seek another chance
Recently, Maharashtra CET cell added 100 new MBBS seats for the final counselling round under the state quota at Ashwini Rural Medical College, Solupur and Malati Medical College, Akola, despite having 484 MBBS and BDS seats vacant for the NEET UG stray vacancy round.
“The petitioners, who have been rendered ineligible to participate in the stray vacancy round as they have already secured admission to other courses, claim that they have been deprived a chance to compete for the new MBBS seats. They want the CET Cell to make them eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round and seek upgradation,” according to the official statement by the cell.
Activists have criticised the delay in releasing selection list, which was slated to be out on Friday. "The candidates have only two days to confirm their seats, one of which is a Sunday. They will have a hard time getting demand draft issued by the bank for fee payment. The CET Cell should extend the joining deadline," said Najmuddin Shaikh, an Aurangabad-based medical education counsellor.
The last date of joining the allotted colleges by the candidates is November 17 up to 5:30 pm and the institutes will verify the original documents and find eligibility of the candidates.
“This Provisional Selection is done on the basis of information given by the candidate in the application form and the admission will be confirmed after verification and submission of original documents as per candidate’s claim,” the official notification reads.
