Every year, management entrance examinations are conducted at both national and state-level for students who are interested in getting MBA admission. It is important for MBA aspirants to know the eligibility criteria to get admission into one of the premier management institutes.
Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Symbiosis National Aptitude Online Test (SNAP) etc are among the national-level MBA entrance examinations. And, some institutes consider respective state-level entrance for admission to MBA courses such as Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET), Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET), Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), Himachal Pradesh University MBA Aptitude Test ( HPU MAT ).
MBA Eligibility Criteria 2021- Basic eligibility

As per the basic MBA eligibility criteria, candidates should have completed their bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Those who are pursuing their final year of graduation are also eligible to appear for the MBA entrance exam.

Most of the institutes follow minimum score criteria of 50% marks in total aggregate in graduation and 45% marks for those who belong to the reserved category.

At the time of admission along with graduation degree, candidates must have a valid scorecard of MBA entrance exam.

In case candidates are awarded with CGPA/ grades instead of marks, their score will be based on the equivalence certified by the institution from where they have got their bachelor’s degree.
IIM Eligibility Criteria
It is a dream for all MBA aspirants to crack the CAT exam to get admission into the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). As per the past year trends, more than 1.5 lakh students appear for the CAT entrance exam.
IIMs also follow the same academic score criteria of 50 percent for the general category and 45 percent for the reserved category in their graduation. As per IIM eligibility criteria, further, the general category candidates need to secure between 90 to 100 percentile and reserved category candidates have to secure 85 to 98 percentile in CAT.
MBA Entrance Exam Syllabus
Prior to appearing for MBA entrance exam, candidates have to know the exam syllabus in detail. The MBA entrance exam syllabus comprises three main sections namely verbal ability, reasoning ability and quantitative ability.

Major topics for the verbal ability section - English grammar and usage, reading comprehension, sentence correction, cloze test, jumbled paragraph etc.

Reasoning section includes - Seating arrangement, blood relations, series, syllogism etc.

Quantitative ability section syllabus - HCF and LCM, data interpretation, ratio and proportion, number system, percentage, profit, loss and discount, time, speed and distance, geometry, simple and compound interest, probability, mensuration, trigonometry etc.
