NEW DELHI - Brushing aside the uncertainties and disruptions caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, MDI Gurgaon greeted the new batch students for its Post Graduate Programmes (PGP) –PGPM, PGP-HRM, and PGP-IB (2020–2022). A special orientation programme was organized for the new batch to familiarize them about the industry and process of management studies.MDI Gurgaon is prepared to begin its virtual academic session for the new Batches of PGPM, PGP-HRM and PGP-IB programmes. The new batch is a mix of young aspirants from diverse educational backgrounds such as Engineering, Commerce, Science, BBA/BBM/BMS, Arts, and others. The 2020-22 batch includes both freshers and working professionals.
Rahul Mehrotra asks students to adapt to change
The Induction Ceremony for the Batch of 2020-22 was conducted under the revered presence of industry stalwart, Rahul Mehrotra, CEO & MD, Religare Housing, who presided over as the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Rahul Mehrotra, encouraged the students to keep enhancing the learning curve. He said that “Adapting yourself to the new circumstances is the need of the hour. One must learn to sync oneself according to external factors and excel.”
Focus on Value-Based Education
Welcoming the new batch of students, Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, MDI Gurgaon stated, “India is going through a very challenging phase of its socio-economic transition. We have witnessed unprecedented changes in the past few months. MDI, besides being a learning institution, is strongly rooted in ethics and adhere to adding value-based education in society. We have to carry our responsibilities as a social entity”.
Speaking on this auspicious occasion Prof. Jyotsna Bhatnagar, Dean – Graduate Programmes said, “This pandemic has made us rethink the way we impart education to our students. It would not have been possible without the support of our students and all other stakeholders and I am certain we have a long way to go in this learning journey.”
Addressing the students during the Ceremony, Prasenjit Bhattacharya, CEO, Great Place to Work expressed, “Success can be achieved if you focus towards the desired objective. It is really important to be happy in what you do and to achieve the success you need to learn to channel your energy in the right direction.”
Padmanabh Nargunde, Public Sector Lead -Cloud at Google India enlightened students on how this new normal has changed and reshaped avenues. He said, “Do not resist to get used to the new normal.
The virtual induction ceremony ended with vote of thanks from Prof. Jyotsna Bhatnagar, Dean – Graduate Programmes in the presence of Director, MDI Gurgaon and other dignitaries.
