NEW DELHI: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will conduct the MET 2020 exam from August 1 to 12. The exam will be conducted as an online, remote proctored exam due to the prevailing covid-19 situation wherein candidates can appear in the test from the comfort of their home.
The institute has issued detailed advisory to all registered candidates regarding the specification of desktop/laptop and other necessary hardware and software required for taking the exam. The institute will also run a mock test before the exam to check the preparedness of candidates for taking the exam.
The entire MET test will be live proctored by the faculty team of the institute and candidates are advised to adhere to the fair practices of the proctored test guidelines.
Specification of computer for appearing in MET online proctored test
The institute has sent through mail the details of software/hardware requirements for taking the test. The requirement is as follow
Personal computer/laptop in good condition
Operating system (OS) - Windows 7 and above
Processor- Minimum 2 cores
RAM- 2 GB or above
Screen Resolution - 1024 x 768 and Above
Web browser - Google Chrome (Latest version)
Web camera - Resolution 640 x 480, 15 frames per second (fps)
Microphone - Any Model (External or Internal)
Network bandwidth - 512 Kbps preferred / minimum
Exam Day Guidelines
To take the test efficiently, candidates must select a peaceful place without any noise and outside disturbances.
Candidates must adhere to the fair practices of taking the exam.
Complete test will be live monitored by the institute through a webcam
Any student found guilty or practising any unfair means during the examination will be disqualified.
Last Minute Preparation Tips
As only 2 days are left for the exam, it is advised that candidates do not put pressure on them regarding what has been studied and what has been left. The best practice at this stage is to revise the topics which you have studied, solve mock papers and practice time management.
Also, many students might not be familiar with the online exam. It is advised to make yourself handy with taking the online exam so as to avoid any hassle during the exam.
