MSBSHSE to provide average marks for Class 10 geography paper

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will provide class 10 students average marks for geography paper, as per the Hindustan Times report.

In a relief to nearly 17 lakh students, the last paper of geography subject was cancelled by the board due to coronavirus pandemic and lockdown. Earlier, this exam was scheduled to hold on March 23, 2020.

Now, the marks of this exam will be awarded to students based on the average marks in the other 5 subjects.

The Hindustan Times quotes Shakuntala Kale, chairperson of the Maharashtra State Board as saying, “The committee which was constituted to take a decision on the issue has decided to allot average scores to students for the Geography paper. The board will come up with a detailed statement by evening.”
