NEW DELHI: University of Mumbai (MU) has issued the schedule for pre-admission online registration for first-year undergraduate degree programmes for the academic year 2025-26. Students seeking admission to the first year of non-professional degree courses at affiliated, autonomous and recognised institutions, as well as university departments, can register through the university’s admission portal at mu.ac.in/admission.
The registration window will be open on May 8, and the last date to complete the registration process is May 23 till 1 pm. The university will publish the first merit list on May 27 at 11 am, while regular classes are scheduled to begin on June 13.
As per the official schedule, the first round of document verification and fee payment will be conducted between May 28 and May 30. The second merit list will be declared on May 31 at 7 pm, followed by the second round of admissions from June 2 to June 4. The third and final merit list will be released on June 5, with the last round of admissions running from June 6 to June 10.
Admissions will be conducted as per the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Maharashtra government’s April 20, 2023 resolution, which outlines the framework for three-year degree programmes, four-year honours and honours with research programmes, and five-year integrated programmes with multiple entry and exit options.
The list of undergraduate programmes offered by the university includes Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). In addition to these courses, the university also offers a wide range of specialised programmes such as BA in Film Television and New Media Production, French Studies, German Studies, and Bachelor of Culinary Arts.
Students can also pursue integrated courses like BA-MA in German Studies and Pali, along with five-year integrated BMS-MBA programmes. The registration is also mandatory for various specialisations under BCom, including Financial Market, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Financial Management, Investment Management, Transport Management, and Management Studies.

Moreover, the university offers diverse BSc programmes such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Hospitality Studies, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Forensic Science, Home Science, Aeronautics, Data Science, and Aviation.
Other vocational courses, including BVoc in Tourism and Travel Management, Pharma Analytical Science, and Greenhouse Management, along with FY BVoc in Software Development and BLibrary Science, are also part of the registration process.
Students have the opportunity to pursue music and dance degrees, including BMusic, BPA (Music), and BPA (Dance), as well as specialised integrated programmes such as FYBSc in Bioanalytical Science. These courses, whether aided or unaided, require compulsory pre-admission registration for the 2025-26 academic session.
Pooja Raundale, director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation, stated that all undergraduate admissions and academic activities will be carried out in accordance with the provisions and guidelines of the NEP 2020, the Maharashtra government, Mumbai University, and the University Grants Commission (UGC).
She added that all affiliated and autonomous colleges should conduct the admission process as per this schedule. Admissions should be based on the intake capacity of each college, applicable reservation rules, and course-specific eligibility.
