NEW DELHI: The Council of Architecture (CoA) will be conducting the first attempt of NATA 2020 tomorrow, i.e August 29. The entrance exam will be conducted as both a home based proctored test as well as computer based test at exam centres. The authorities relesed the NATA 2020 admit card on August 25. COA had provided the NATA aspirants with the option to choose their place of examination. This year, the authorities have announced many major changes in the NATA 2020 exam pattern. Both Part A and B of NATA 2020 will be held as an online aptitude test.

For Part A (Cognitive skills for Drawing and visual composition Test), candidates will have to attempt 10 questions (Preferential Type/MCQ) within 72 minutes in online mode and for part B (Test on PCM and General Aptitude), 50 questions has to be answered within 45 minutes.

NATA 2020 exam day guidelines for CBT at exam centres

  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the NATA 2020 exam centre after 12:45 PM.

  • Along with the NATA 2020 admit card, candidates should also carry one original photo identity card (voter card/ pan card/ aadhar card/ driving licence) to the exam centre.

  • A photograph and biometric of a candidate will be taken before he or she will take a seat. The seats will be allotted randomly.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic gadget such as mobile phones, bluetooth devices, calculators, slide rules, log tables, electronic watches with facilities of calculators etc..

  • No candidate, without the special permission of the centre-in-charge will be allowed to leave the examination centre before the conclusion of the NATA exam.

NATA 2020 exam day guidelines for home based proctored exam

  • Candidates should prefer to use the same laptop/ PC used during the Mock test on which secured browser and requisite software has been already installed to avoid any delay or technical issue.

  • No candidate will be permitted in the online examination after 10:15 AM.

  • Candidates should produce valid original photo ID card to the exam proctor.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to disconnect/leave the examination before the scheduled time of conclusion.

  • In case the system of the candidate crashes, the same process has to be followed. Candidates will not be allowed to re-enter the exam after 10 minutes of delay.

  • Any malpractice will lead to the disqualification of the candidate.

Standard Operating Procedures to be followed at NATA 2020 exam centres

  • The NATA exam 2020 hall will be sprayed with disinfectant including floor, walls, gates, doors etc. Also, sanitizer bottles and liquid handwash will be made available at the entry gate, exam room, staff/observer room etc.

  • Thermal checking will be done for both staff and candidates at the entrance point. Both candidates and staff should wear masks and gloves the whole time in the exam centre.

  • After each session, the seating area of candidates will be thoroughly sanitized. Washrooms will also be cleaned and disinfected.

  • Staff will have to fill a self-declaration form about their health status before entering the NATA exam area. In case any member fails to meet the self-declaration criteria or thermo gun check, he/she will be asked to leave the exam centre immediately.

  • It is mandatory for every staff member and students to download the Arogya Setu app.

  • Proper signage, symbols and posters will be displayed at appropriate places to maintain social distancing.

  • Students must sanitize their hands before and after signing the attendance sheet.

  • Any student having fever, cough, or cold will be made to sit in a separate room.
