National Law University Delhi invites applications for MA, LLM degree programmes; apply by June 3

NEW DELHI: The National Law University (NLU) Delhi invites applications for admission to the Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Law (LLM) degree programmes in Intellectual Property Law and Management. The registration process is underway and the last date to fill out the application form is June 3, 2024.

Eligible candidates should complete the registration process by visiting the NLU official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. As per the official notice, the candidate will have to appear in the All-India Entrance Test 2024 for admission to these programmes. The exam is scheduled to be held on June 23 in a single shift from 11 am to 1 pm. The institute will issue the admit card on June 13.

NLU Admission 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for both degree programmes from the table given below.

MA in Intellectual Property Law and Management

Candidates are required to meet one of the following criteria:

• Candidate should have completed two successive bachelor's degrees, one of which should be in the relevant discipline.

• Candidate should have completed a five-year integrated degree programme in the relevant discipline after finishing high school.

• Candidate should have attained an equivalent post-graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

• Candidate completing a four-year bachelor’s programme with honors, research from a recognised university.

In all cases mentioned above, candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).

LLM in Intellectual Property Law and Management

Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or an equivalent degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved categories such as scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), persons with disability (PWD)).

The All-India Entrance Test 2024 is scheduled to take place in various cities including Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai. “If the number of candidates in any city falls below 100, a test centre will not be established in that city. In such cases, candidates will be assigned a test city based on their 2nd or 3rd preference,” the institute said.

The one-year full-time programme, jointly offered by the National Law University Delhi (NLUD), World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM – Indian IP Office), will be conducted from August 16.
