NEET UG 2021 exam pattern will have no change: Report

NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released a notice to start the academic session 2020-21 for Super Speciality and Undergraduate medical courses. As per the released MCC notice, the academic session for (D.M/ M.Ch & DNB SS) courses will start from January 19. Whereas, for MBBS/BDS courses the academic of 2020-21 will start from February 2.
Authorities in the notice further added that “This issues with the approval of competent authority for the information and further necessary action of colleges and candidates.” Now, aspirants who will be allotted any MBBS/BDS or SS seats in respective colleges can start their academics from the specified date.

Aspirants who have appear and qualify the NEET 2020 UG and SS by securing the required cutoff. Then the qualified aspirants have to go through the counselling process conducted by respected authorities for their respective courses. On the basis of rank, choice filled, seats available, reservation criteria, and other factors, aspirants have been allotted a seat and admission has been granted to D.M/ M.Ch & DNB SS through NEET SS 2020 and MBBS/BDS seats through NEET 2020.
On the basis of NEET SS 2020, admission has been granted in 31 super specialty courses offered in 156 government/private/deemed/central and AFMC institutes. Whereas on the basis of the NEET 2020 examination admissions have been granted to 80,055 MBBS, 26,949 BDS seats.
