New Delhi: Just two days left for the closing of NEET correction window 2020. The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the correction facility of NTA NEET 2020 at ntaneet.nic.in from January 15 to 31, 2020 till 11:55 PM. NEET application correction window is the last opportunity for medical aspirants who want to change any information in the form. Applicants are required to make all the edits before closing of the NEET 2020 correction window as after that no modifications will be allowed.

It must be noted that all the fields in NEET application form can be corrected except registered mobile number and mail ID. During the NTA NEET application correction, the valid details must be filled, as it will be verified at the examination centre and admission process. NTA will issue NEET 2020 admit cards from March 27 onwards.

With less time left in closing the correction window of NEET UG, there are certain instructions which applicants have to keep in mind in avoiding any sort of difficulties while doing the modifications for NEET 2020.

1. Steps to correct the details

  • Students have to log in to the official website; ntaneet.nic.in or the direct link has been provided on this page, students can click on the direct link also.

  • Then, students need to enter their NEET registration number and password in the NEET candidate login 2020 option.

  • Click on the ‘Correction in NEET application form 2020’.

  • Aspirants can make all the required changes, re-verify it and then finally can submit it.

  • Aspirants are required to enter the OTP, which they received at their registered mobile no. and mail ID to complete the process.

  • Applicants can take printouts of confirmation slip for their future convenience.

2. Which fields to edit and why?

Below are the fields which can be modified through ntaneet.nic.in NEET correction window and check the importance of such details during the admission process. These information once modified will be used by the authority and colleges for further admission processes.

  • Personal information - Make sure the details are correct, as invalid details may lead to cancellation of candidature

  • Medium of question paper - Students will receive only that language question paper which will be selected

  • Choice of exam city - It is advised to choose the city near to the house, so as to reach on time

  • PwD category - Such details will help in seat reservation, so opt wisely!

  • Minority category - For admission to minority and linguistic colleges

  • Diabetes, whether yes or no - Such aspirants can carry food items at the centre

  • Academic details (Class 10, 11 and 12) - These details will be used as the authenticity of candidate and their eligibility

  • Address - The admission letters and other information will be sent through posts. Also it is important for communication purposes

  • Details of parents/guardians - It will provide information of candidate’s parents, annual income and qualification

  • Dress code - Select yes if candidate wants to wear any customary dresses at the time of exam and ‘No’ if the dress code will be followed

  • Enter the security pin as mentioned - This step must be completed for authentication purpose

3. Details cannot be edited and why?

Aspirants cannot edit their registered mobile number and mail ID because all the communication activity will be done on that. Even to complete the process of NEET 2020 correction window, candidates have to enter the OTP which will be received on the registered mobile number and mail ID.

4. Clarity regarding categories!

Students are advised to be sure about their category with full documentation to prove it. In case of any category changes applicants have to pay the requisite amount during the NEET correction window

Candidates appearing for NEET must note that the NTA will conduct the entrance exam on May 3, 2020. NEET 2020 will be conducted in offline mode for admission to 76,928, MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc & AH, 1205 AIIMS and 200 JIPMER seats offered by colleges across India.
