NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on September 12, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm. More than 16 lakh candidates who will be appearing for the undergraduate medical exam must adhere to all the NEET 2021 guidelines by NTA. The examination authority has specified the crucial guidelines on the NEET 2021 dress code in the information bulletin. NEET 2021 dress code for male aspirants

Below is the dress code of NEET 2021 for boys.

  • Male candidates can only wear half sleeves shirts or T-shirts.

  • Light clothes without or fewer zip, pockets, big buttons and embroidery can be worn by boys.

  • For the bottom half, trousers, simple pants can be worn.

  • Aspirants can only wear sandals and chappals in the NEET 2021 exam hall. Shoes are prohibited inside the examination hall of NEET-UG.

NEET dress code for female candidates

Given below are the clothing items allowed in the NEET UG 2021 dress code for girls.

  • Female aspirants can only wear half-sleeved tops, shirts or T-shirts on exam day

  • Low heels, sandals or chappals are allowed as per the dress code of NEET 2021.

  • No clothes with elaborate embroidery, flowers, brooches and more are allowed inside the examination hall.

  • Female aspirants should avoid wearing jeans.

  • No ornaments like earrings, nose rings, pendants, necklace bracelets and anklets should be worn by female NEET candidates.

NEET 2021 dress code for cultural/customary dresses

As per the NEET-UG dress code guidelines 2021, candidates who follow a respective custom or religion are allowed to wear the cultural dress at the examination hall. Such aspirants should have mentioned the same while filling the NEET application form. Students must report at least an hour before the last reporting time for the exam, which is 12.30 pm, for proper frisking without any inconvenience.

What not to carry at the NEET 2021 exam centre

Given below are the items that are strictly prohibited inside the NEET 2021 examination hall:

  • Bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, and other textual things

  • Devices like mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager, health band.

  • Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, belts, Cap, Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, ornaments/metallic, and other items.

  • Food items opened or packed and water bottles.

  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means is also strictly prohibited.

As per the latest NEET news, the NTA will release the tentative NEET admit card release date is September 9, 2021, at neet.nta.nic.in. The single medical exam will be held in 13 languages for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH, veterinary and BSc nursing courses.
