NEET 2021 exam starts; COVID-19 guidelines strictly implemented at test centres

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2021) exam today across varied test centres. All the precautionary measures are being taken by the NTA to maintain a safe and secure environment for the students and staff at the NEET UG 2021 exam test centre. The standard operating procedures are in place and the NTA has ensured that the candidates strictly follow the dos and don’ts.

The detailed information related to the NEET 2021 exam day guidelines were mentioned in the admit card. As per the paper pattern, the NEET UG 2021 question paper will have 200 MCQs, out of which only 180 are to be answered by candidates.

Thermal checking of temperature at the NEET exam centre

Candidates arriving at the NEET test centre had to go through thermal checking of temperature. Post which they were allowed to enter the examination hall.

Proper sanitization at the test centre

To ensure the safety of all candidates from the novel coronavirus, the seating area is sanitised properly before the commencement of NEET-UG 2021 exam. At the entry gate of the NEET exam centre, the candidate's hand sanitization facility was also available.

Distribution of essentials

As per the guidelines issued by NTA, all candidates were requested to cover their face with a mask. Candidates who reached the exam centre without masks/ gloves were distributed the same by authorities.

Crowd management

To avoid crowing outside the exam centre and inside the NEET exam premises, queue manager/ ropes are placed. NTA has also guided exam centres to use hailers to call candidates according to their time slots. Post verification, students went to their respective rooms.
