NEW DELHI: Along with the allotment of exam city, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has also released the instructions on how to fill the OMR answer sheet of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). During the exam, candidates will be provided with an OMR sheet to answer the questions. The Optical Mark Reading (OMR) sheets are evaluated by the computer software and can only read properly filled in black coloured bubbles. Aspirants are not allowed to write anything on NEET 2021 OMR answer sheet except for the specified details.

How to fill NEET 2021 OMR answer sheet

NEET-UG will be held on September 12, 2021, in an offline mode. Students will be given the NEET question booklet and an OMR sheet to answer those questions. For the convenience of candidates, NTA has released the instructions on how to answer questions in the NEET OMR answer sheet and details to take care of.

  • Students must ensure that they mark the answers in the NEET-UG OMR sheet carefully and as per the instructions provided by the NTA.

  • The answers in the OMR sheet should be marked in the specific space and against the number of particular questions.

  • The answers marked on the OMR sheet will be evaluated by the computer software which is very sensitive and can read the black colored bubbles only.

  • Aspirants should not tamper or scratch the OMR sheet.

  • Candidates can only write their roll number, test booklet number, question paper code, name and other details. They are not allowed to write anything else on the NEET UG answer sheet.

  • In the name column of the OMR sheet, write the candidate number, mother’s name and father’s name in the running handwriting.

  • Students cannot fill more than one answer for any of the questions as there is only one correct answer.

  • NEET candidates will be required to sign the declaration column in running handwriting.

  • The code printed on the NEET-UG 2021 OMR answer sheet should be the same as on the question paper booklet. In case of any discrepancy, aspirants must contact the invigilator immediately for the replacement of NEET question paper and answer sheet.

  • In case of any discrepancy in the question paper of any language, the English version will be considered the final one.

NEET 2021 exam pattern

The medical entrance exam, NEET 2021, will be held in three hours from 2 pm to 5 pm. A total of 200 multiple choice questions will be asked from physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. Each subject contains 50 questions each and are divided into two sections - Part A and Part B. Check the NEET exam pattern below.

NTA has announced the allotted NEET 2021 exam city at neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates have been allotted the NEET exam cities as per their preferences filled in the application form. NEET-UG will be held for admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 603 BVSc-AH seats. From this year, NEET scores will be used for BSc Nursing admissions.
