NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 28: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration for NEET exam application form on November 30. Registered candidates will be allowed to submit the application fee till December 1 up to 11.50 PM. Candidates can fill the form in online mode while the application fee can be submitted in offline and online mode.

The application fee of INR 1,400 for unreserved and OBC candidates and INR 750 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender candidates must be remitted via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI/SBI e-challan.

NTA will start the correction window to correct the mistakes, if any, from January 14 and will be open till January 31. The acceptance of NEET form will lead to the issuance of admit card which will be available for download from April 15.

Candidates filling the application form must keep in mind these five important points to avoid rejection of the form.

1. Submit details as mentioned in the supporting documents

The details submitted by the candidates like name, father & mother’s name, date of birth and identification number should be the same as given in the supported ID proof. These details of the candidates will be cross-checked from the identification type that the candidates have provided.

2. Unalterable details

While submitting gender, category, nationality, state of eligibility, and the person with disability status details, a message will be displayed on the screen stating these fields cannot be changed. Therefore, it is suggested to submit these details correctly. The application correction window will be provided. However, the information about the details which are changeable has not been clarified by NTA.

3. Enter correct contact details

At the time of registration, candidates will be receiving an OTP number on the mobile number and email ID, which needs to be entered to proceed for the further registration process. Ensure that the contact details are correct, failing which candidates will not be allowed to move to the next step.

4. Documents Specification

NTA has stated that candidates are required to upload falling under a specific size. To upload photographs the image size should be from 10 KB to 200 KB and in JPG/JPEG format. For signature, the image size should fall between 4 KB and 30 KB. The name and date of taking the photo should be mentioned in the photograph.

5. Documents to be kept for future reference

After submission of the form, candidates should ensure that they have the proof of remittance of fee; copy of confirmation page of NEET application form; and self-declaration form in respect of candidates belonging from Jammu and Kashmir.

NEET UG will be conducted on May 5 in offline mode. The three-hour long exam will be held from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM. NEET is the sole gateway for admission to medical, dental and AYUSH courses except for the exams conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi and JIPMER, Puducherry.
