NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will issue the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Master of Dental Surgery (NEET) MDS 2024 admit card today, March 15. Candidates who applied for the exam will be able to download the NEET MDS admit card 2024 from the official website, nbe.edu.in. NEET MDS 2024 will be held on March 18.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is likely to hear today the plea for postponement of the exam. Aspirants had re-approached the top court after the health ministry didn’t take a decision on postponing NEET MDS exam. The apex court had disposed of the NEET MDS 2024 postponement case in February saying that the Centre was “more suited to take a call on the issue.”

Recently, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) extended the deadline for completion of internship for NEET MDS 2024 to June 30 and reopened the NEET MDS 2024 registration facility for aspirants who became eligible. Candidates were allowed to apply for the exam till March 11.

In recent developments, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare clarified that the reports claiming that there are no NEET MDS exam centres in North-East are false. MoHFW informed that there are examination centres in north-eastern states including Shillong, Naharlagun, Kohima, Aizawl, Guwahati and Kolkata. The ministry further said that only 560 candidates registered for NEET MDS 2024 during the second registration window.

Several students and doctors’ bodies held social media campaigns and wrote to Mansukh Mandaviya as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding NEET MDS 2024 postponement to July, citing less preparation time, ineligibility of thousands of aspirants, and that the counselling will only begin in August making candidates wait for months.
