NEW DELHI, March 7: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has published the merit list for all the qualified aspirants who are selected under 50% All India Quota seats. The merit list mentions the All India 50% category rank, NEET PG rank and the category of the candidates. NBE, in its official notice, has specified that individual scorecard of the candidates will be made available by March 10, 2019.
Only the aspirants who will be included in the merit list of NEET PG 2019 will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. NEET PG counselling 2019 for 50% AIQ quota seats will be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on the basis of rank, choices of colleges as well as courses, availability of seats, reservation criteria and other factors.
The remaining 50% state quota seats will be granted on the basis of NEET PG 2019 merit list. However, 100% seats from the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be filled under the state quota seats.

Types of NEET PG 2019 merit list
All India NEET PG rank roll number-wise - This merit list includes all the candidates who appeared in the NEET PG entrance exam. It displays the PG merit rank of all aspirants irrespective of their categories.
All India 50% Rank - The NEET PG merit list only includes the aspirants who have qualified the online test. The rank list will be valid for 50% AIQ candidates. Candidates belonging from the state of J&K will not be listed in this list.
All India 50% Quota Category rank - This list includes the category-wise rank of candidates who have qualified in the exam and are selected under 50% All India Quota seats.
State/UT quota overall and category-wise NEET PG merit list 2019 - The counselling authorities of states and UTs will prepare and release the separate rank list, based on the NEET PG merit list. These bodies will allot the state merit rank of all candidate. The respective state admission committee will use the allotted rank for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in government and private colleges in the state.
Tie-Breaking of NEET PG Rank List 2019
While preparing the merit list, if the scores of two or more candidates are equal, the NBE used the following tie-breaking method to resolve the issue:
Aspirants with less negative responses will be provided a higher rank.
Candidates securing higher marks in Part C will be allotted better rank.
Students who have marked less number of incorrect answers in Part C will be considered for a better rank.
Candidates with higher marks in Part B will be eligible for a higher rank.
Less negative marks in Part B will lead the aspirants to be considered for a higher rank.
If the tie still persists, then students with higher marks in Part A will be given higher merit position in the NEET PG merit list.
Less number of incorrect responses in Part A will help the aspirant to secure a higher AIR in the list.
At last, the age of the candidate will be considered for higher rank.
After the release of merit list, aspirants included in the NEET PG merit list 2019 and selected under the 50% AIQ seats, will be allowed to participate for NEET PG 2019 counselling. The registration process of NEET PG counselling 2019 will begin from March 15, 2019.
