NEW DELHI, February 27: National Board of Education has announced the dates of NEET PG and MDS counselling process which will be conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats, central and deemed universities. The counselling process for 50% of state quota seats will be held by the respective counselling body of each state. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will be conducting the counselling for NEET PG 2019 on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.
The counselling will be held online in three rounds, including a mop-up round. The first round of seat allotment will commence from March 15, 2019, while round two will begin from April 5. The schedule of NEET PG & MDS counselling 2019 is mentioned below.

Eligibility for MD/MS and MDS counselling
Since the counselling process is merit based, the counselling will be conducted on NEET PG scores. The eligibility criteria to participate in the counselling process has been given below.
Candidates who have secured an All India Rank in the 50% Quota Rank List
Candidates who will register for the counselling process
candidates who have completed MBBS degree from the respective Central University.
Candidate who has secured minimum required percentile for their respective category
Candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will not be considered for the AIQ quota seats.

Stepwise procedure of counselling
The NEET PG counselling 2019 will be held in the online mode in two rounds. To participate in the counselling candidates are required to register themselves in the official website and fill in their choices of institutions in the order of their preferences. Seats will be allotted to the candidates in various institutions based on the candidates’ merit rank and the given preference. The result of each round of will be declared on the official website of MCC. Candidates must note that qualification to participate in online counseling for All India 50% quota seats does not confer admission to All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses.
